About Town Square Software 
History

Jan Orcutt founded her first software company, The Orcutt Group, in the early 1980s to assist Fortune 500 corporations in the implementation of management and customer service software systems. For its first ten years, Orcutt worked with such well known companies as IBM, RJR/Nabisco, Citibank, Armstrong World Industries, and L.L. Bean.

The implementation work we did went well beyond simply identifying and installing software. Under Jan's direction, her teams assisted clients with software selection, software development, business process re-engineering, training, and evaluation.

In 1995, after developing a citizen response system for a client in Canada, Jan decided that a significant opportunity existed to serve local communities. From that point on, her efforts have been dedicated to providing powerful, cost-effective, citizen response software for cities and counties across the country.

In the fall of 2008, Jan and two other senior professionals, Larry Regneth and Dr, Bob Everett, opened a new firm, Town Square Software.  Town Square Software represents a renewed commitment on the part of all three of us to serve America's local governments.

Personnel

Jan Orcutt, President and CEO


Jan Orcutt is co-founder and CEO of Town Square Software. She began her career in Information Technology more than thirty years ago with the City of New York. Since then, she has managed dozens of software development projects for companies such as IBM, RJR/Nabisco, Lipton Tea, and L.L. Bean.

Jans passion is using information technology to enhance communities. She loves to help local governments create effective and efficient systems to support their citizens. Jan is personally involved with every customer, ensuring that our software is correctly configured for your unique environment.

Bob Everett, Vice President

Robert F. Everett, Ph.D. is responsible for product devellopment and technical support. He has sixteen years of experience in the marketing of technology products to government entities. He has worked with more than one hundred clients, among them: CompUSA, Cisco Systems, and Emerson Electric.

Bob has also been a business professor at Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA.  He has also taught business and marketing at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University.

Larry Regneth, VP Sales and Marketing

Larry brings close to thirty years of technology sales to both public and private sector clients.  In addition to having owned his own company, Larry has been a senior sales executive at Alcatel and NCR.
